Hubs arrived, the components are at On Your Bike, London waiting to be picked up (still, they got it wrong first time), bought a cycling GPS so that I don't get lost and I've started my training.Went to a Yoga class on Tuesday and managed to pull a wheel although mine didn't look much like this one and pretty quickly sustained a puncture. Notwithstanding, I didn't ache too much the following day so think I'll keep it up. Along with the daily commute by bicycle, it's not a bad start to the regime. As a matter of record, I weighed in at 101Kg the other day and am technically obese - so I'm in good company alongside the England rugby team. My intention is to get somewhere closer to 90Kg before the ride - you read it here first - but I won't be too upset if I don't as I expect to lose a lot of weight when I do the ride.
Now, the cycling GPS - what a palava ! I work in technology, right, yet I genuinely haven't got a scooby-doo (clue) how to make it work. How are mere mortals expected to cope ? More to follow on that particular saga!
Oh, happy new year to those I haven't already said it too. I notice the donations aren't exactly rolling in yet - never mind, plenty of time yet.
