Had a wonderful ride from the Sound of Harris ferry port (Berneray) across the stunning hills in the photos you see below. Stopped at 5pm in Tarbert for a bite and despite warnings of hurricane force winds (gusting to force 11), continued on at 6pm. Managed to be blown uphill to the base of a big climb 3 miles away and decided that this was folly. Retreated against the wind, moving slowly and managed to find accommodation. Waiting to see weather tomorrow morning before deciding next move. Snookered for now!
