Perfect weather today, not too hot, not too cold. The really big hills were left behind at Bristol yet my legs are refusing to go uphill at all. First sight of a hill of relatively mediocre size, and it's straight into the granny gear.
Again, it was a slow start. I wasn't 3 miles outside Chepstow before I had to stop for a rest - breakfast was re-served. Since then the uphills have been slow and grinding and the downhills to be enjoyed. I should be stopping in Hatfield tonight where a kind friend has lent me her parents bolthole. Will need to perform domestic chores. For now, I'll leave you with the New Harp Inn, Horewithy:
